Household Waste and Recycling

After a tour around on recycling day, we saw there are still properties in the parish who are doing very little or no recycling, please do your bit for the planet, it's not hard, just takes a little time and effort.

Also noted, on black bin day not all rubbish is being thrown away, a couple of properties have been seen to store excess rubbish in the gardens, this is a health hazard and needs to stop! Recycle more and maybe there won't be so much rubbish for the black bags, the black bins hold a considerable amount, more than enough for a family - however if you run a business or a holiday let you should NOT BE using the domestic waste collection, you need at make your own arrangements, Cornwall Council will be arranging a dedicated telephone line for reports of abuse of the system to be reported shortly, and we will encourage parishioners to use it.
